solelens explores a simple concept: how can we strip all elements of a luminaire except the light itself? as its name suggests, sole refers to the Italian word for sun, while also describing something that exists solely as a lens. the project aims to create both an ambient light and a directed technical light through clear optical elements and replaceable leds, while exploring different ways the system can be iterated and applied in varied forms.
